The Production Planner Manager role is an integral part of Supply Chain with responsibility for managing material flow and orders with our suppliers and contract manufacturers to mitigate supply chain risks and achieve inventory and customer fulfillment targets. The Production Planner Manager will design and execute the elaboration of a plan production, schedule manufacturing orders, and coordinate the flow of work and materials to meet delivery expectations of forecasted and actual sales. The responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, closely monitoring the production processes and regularly providing production status updates to management and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. The Production Planner Manager will communicate any demand changes in our planning systems to ensure high accuracy of inventory availability and accuracy in inventory records, item usage history, and forecasting files.


Position Duties and Responsibiliies:
  • Develop production and inventory management plans to support both material and finished good requirements, collaborate with production to ensure clear and consistent communication of priorities and requirement
  • Establish and maintain all planning systems (tools, methodology, and necessary support system) • Identify current and potential product shortages, develop, and execute recovery plans
  • Release manufacturing orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of material throughout the production cycle
  • Execute the development, implementation, analysis, and coordination of the MPS
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to ensure data is accurate and up to date
  • Modifies and adapts production schedules and issues order changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priorities.
  • Maintains capacity information in ERP/MRP for FG items.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with the Manager of Global Logistic to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies
  • Monitor overall operational supply and identify any shortages or bottlenecks.
  • Understand and highlight capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams on resolution.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for cost improvement, efficiency, risk mitigation and overall company performance
  • Support New Product Development to minimize project cost, maintain schedule and performance goals in a Project “Gated” environment
  • Analyze inventory requirements to maintain consistent material flow for production and prevent excessive, inactive or slow-moving inventory; includes establishing inventory replenishment levels
  • Maintain accuracy of planning populated master data
  • Analyze production capacity and staffing requirements for all product lines (line throughput, capacity projections, and staffing recommendations)
  • Facilitate cross-functional (e.g. PLM, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Sourcing) and multi-level discussions impacting operations. This includes working with QC on product holds, EC and NCR issues impacting production.
  • Interface with manufacturing facilities and maintain good working relationships.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Technical or Supply Chain or related field required – experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 4+ years’ experience in purchasing and/or production scheduling for a manufacturing organization in an MRP environment, Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems required. (Oracle, SAP)
  • Knowledge of global scheduling practices, planning multiples sites, understanding of inventory best practices and Minimum 5-7 years professional experience in subcontract manufacturing planning
  • Exceptional computer skills and speed; SAP experience preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience leading a team and/or department
  • Applicable APICS CPIM, CSCP or CPSM certification
  • Knowledge and experience with Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups), Power BI, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while working with changing priorities and competing demands
  • Ability to effectively present information, data, recommendations to all organizational levels
  • Some travel required


$85,000 - $105,000 a year
The US national annual base salary for this role is $85,000-$105,000. The range includes the base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the of scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
