This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organization where you will play a pivotal role in our audit department. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for managing and directing audit activities. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals, ensuring the reliability of our financial data, the effectiveness of our internal controls, and the compliance with regulations and laws.Responsibilities• Manage and lead the planning and execution of audit engagements, ensuring a high level of service and client satisfaction.• Review and analyze tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, partnerships, not-for-profit entities, and corporations.• Conduct tax projections and research tax issues to provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients.• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.• Provide guidance and supervision to audit staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.• Stay abreast of current industry trends and regulations to ensure the company is in compliance and to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information to clients.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and auditing, with a focus on the mortgage industry.• Extensive knowledge of tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, partnerships, not-for-profit entities, and corporations.• Proficient in tax projections and tax research.• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.• Experience in internal auditing and risk assessment.• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.• Proficiency in using accounting and auditing software.• Commitment to staying current with industry trends, standards, and regulations.Interested in hearing more?
