The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient inventory management, and the overall financial health of the firm. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial ManagementOversee all aspects of the firm’s accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Inventory AccountingManage and reconcile inventory accounts, including tracking and valuation of materials and supplies.Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize discrepancies.Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.NetSuite AdministrationUtilize NetSuite for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Customize and optimize NetSuite modules to meet the firm’s needs and improve financial processes.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to NetSuite functionality and integration.Financial Planning & AnalysisConduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts.Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.Team LeadershipSupervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Audit & ComplianceCoordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard the firm’s assets and ensure financial integrity.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controller or senior accounting role.Proven experience with inventory accounting and management.Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Experience in the architecture or design industry is a plus.Interested in hearing more?
