The opportunity is with a national plaintiff personal injury firm that specializes in complex mass tort personal injury matters encompassing medical malpractice, product defect, pharmaceutical, environmental and workers compensation.The ideal candidate will have a paralegal certificate or associates degree and at least three years of civil litigation experience in personal injury law. Paralegals with prior exposure to complex matters are strongly preferred, but all candidates with commensurate backgrounds will be considered. The role will require the candidate to work closely with our attorneys to provide exceptional legal support to our clients in high value cases. This is an ideal opportunity in a collaborative and professional work environment.If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please apply below or send your resume, name and introduction to ken.clarke@jobot.com.Why join us?• Nationally Recognized Personal Injury Firm• Diverse & Collaborative Culture• Strong Benefits Package• 401k with Matching Components• Growing Firm with Multiple Office Locations Across CountryJob DetailsResponsibilities• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and affidavits• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of findings• Interpret medical records and prepare medical chronologies• Schedule and coordinate depositions and other meetings• E-file documents with the court and manage electronic case files• Index and summarize deposition transcripts and other discovery documents• Prepare trial exhibits and assist with trial preparation• Manage deadlines and maintain case calendars• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and expertsQualifications• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience OR Associates Degree• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex personal injury matters• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Proficiency in LexisNexis and other legal research tools• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Familiarity with e-filing and electronic case management systems• Ability to interpret medical records and prepare medical chronologies• Experience drafting complaints and other legal documents• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesInterested in hearing more?
