This position would report to the Director of Engineering. We are looking for someone who is highly detailed-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated. This position is responsible for the structural design for steel modular buildings and helping to develop design standards for all future buildings. You will be expected to solve design problems that have not been asked or solved before. You will work in the pre-design phase all the way through the fabrication and installation of modules. The experience will be challenging, yet rewarding as you shape the future of design and construction.Responsibilities to includeStructural analysis and design of steel modular structuresSteel connection designCreating design spreadsheetsStructural code reviewDrafting structural plans and detailsCommunicating with design teamsCommunication with site teamsVisiting local sites weeklyCandidate RequirementsBS in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with structural concentration5+ years of structural engineering design and analysis of steel structuresProfessional Engineer license with the ability to gain licensure in additional jurisdictionsProficiency in AutoCAD and Excel (Knowledge of Revit is a plus)Proficiency in a structural analysis program RISA-3D, ETAB, SAP2000, and/or similar programsPrecise written and verbal communication skillsInterested in hearing more?
