About the position
You will report to the SVP, Product Management Division Executive and will lead the technical product function within the FIS Digital business. Responsible for driving improved ways of working across a large, strategic business.
• Manage a global team of product owners driving accountability and ownership in the role.
• Accountable for driving operating metric improvement across Digital business in concert with engineering partners. Focus on quality, throughput and roadmap predictability.
• Drives formation and implementation of technical backlog across the Digital business.
• Embeds a culture of innovation and excitement in the Digital SDLC
• Works with peers to ensure we are building consistent ways of working across all FIS.
• Works with peers to create a logical framework for cross P&L dependency management.
What you bring
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another engineering related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• 10+ years in a similar role/industry
• Thorough knowledge of FIS products supported
• Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence
• Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of financial services industry and associated products
• Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
• Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
• Experience interacting with both engineering teams and business teams
• Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally
• Requires strong time management skills, attention to detail and must be resourceful
• Analytical, problem solving skills
