This work is performed under minimal supervision and using the tools and techniques of biomedical technology.Education: The Biomedical Equipment Technician II requires a high school diploma or equivalent.Formal training in a recognized biomedical technology or electronics certificate program at a recognized technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization is required.In lieu of, a candidate must demonstrate 5 years of experience in a technical profession involving electronics, or computer/software-related workKnowledge / Skills: Must demonstrate the accomplishment of continuing education annually, such as service school attended, certifications, and recognized technical training in related technical fields.Must have comprehensive knowledge of electronic equipment, biomedical equipment operations, and hospital operating procedures.Must have a demonstrated knowledge of electronics, safety rules, procedures, and practices, including the proper use of test and safety equipment as defined by industry standards.Must have a wide knowledge of computer applications (PC- and network-based), including Windows, departmental e-mail, and custom Clinical Engineering Services database.Shift / Hours: Day, 40 hours per week
