JPMorgan's Tax Oriented Investments (TOI) Housing group is based in Chicago and is part of the Investment Bank's Securitized Products Group. The Analyst on the Asset Management Team plays a key supporting role in managing JPMorgan's real estate investments in low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) apartment communities throughout the United States.As an Analyst you will assist in a variety of responsibilities including financial review, portfolio management, data analysis, consent tracking and relationship management.Job responsibilities:• Analyze performance of real estate investments by evaluating quarterly reports, interim financial statements, operating budgets and audits. Inputting financial data for selected properties. Provide context and commentary on sub-performing properties, highlighting key risks and potential paths to improved operations.• Manage a portfolio of properties, identifying performance trends by geography, product, developer partner or other common characteristics. Maintain integrity of the portfolio information by completing and updating input fields in the housing database.• Prepare required reports for senior management review, including presentation materials for watch list and other committee reports. Draft action memos for internal review and decision making.• Review syndicator-provided consent approval packages, referencing partnership agreements and original underwriting models, that involve loan refinance, changes to property management or general partner. Track requests in a consent log.• Review and process capital contribution requests, ensuring conformance with required funding benchmarks.• Monitor receipt of reporting requirements and other deliverables; coordinate report requests between JPMorgan internal groups and syndicator partners.• Complete special projects and assist with committee presentations.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:• Experience in real estate or related area.• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Superior communication (written and verbal presentation) and quantitative skills.• Detail-oriented and accurate, with a strong desire to learn and excel.• Ability to work independently and interact with different levels of management, prioritize workload and competing demands for time and attention.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:• Experience with multi-family (especially affordable/LIHTC) properties• Have familiarity PythonThe Corporate & Investment Bank is a global leader across investment banking, wholesale payments, markets and securities services.
