As a Junior Editor, you will work closely with the film and production team in our New York office. Your primary role will be to work in post-production, editing video content, and generating motion graphics for various clients and brands - specifically ongoing projects and repeatable formats for social media and occasionally broadcast.

Outside of client work, you will be creating internal H+K films when required – we have an increasing demand from our culture and New Business teams to create slick pitch films and internal presentation films circulated to our US offices.

You will also be assisting in the archiving and migration of our current and ongoing projects from physical drives to the cloud (frame.io), creating an easily accessible database for remote editors.

Your video editing experience will include creating video content for social media, promos, and brand videos, together with some motion design experience that includes planning and creating animated visuals, animations, and motion graphics.

You must possess an awareness of trends across social content channels and the ability to think creatively, be detail orientated, and have a passion for branded content and digital media.

As a part of the film and production team, outside of execution, you will also be encouraged to get involved in other stages of the creative process, from interpreting the brief to helping develop mood storyboards, as well as the opportunity to attend shoots. You will also work closely with producers, art directors, creative directors, and account management to bring a shared vision to life.

Our ideal candidate is a team player but will need to be a self-starter.

This role will report to the Senior Motion and Film Creative and editors.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000 to $75,000 Range. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
