The opportunity exists for a dynamic team player with a strong work ethic to join an established global Professional Services firm in the role of Junior Accountant, sitting within the Management Accounts Team. With global operations and over 20 years in the US market this business offers excellent progression and training opportunities.

The Accounts is responsible for all the financial and management reporting across North America. The team provides support to all levels of management within the business and is also responsible for the reporting to Group Head Office in the UK and to meet local statutory and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with local leadership to assist in the preparation of weekly financial flash reporting
  • Manage cash transaction recording and receipts
  • Weekly and monthly headcount analysis
  • Work cross functionally with local and international entities on monthly intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Monthly Fixed Asset transactions and reconciliations
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management packs including preparation of P&Ls, analysis of trends and variance reporting
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Human Resources and Operations, to obtain relevant financial information and support their reporting needs
  • Assist in preparation of ad hoc reports for the front office & leadership team
  • Help maintain documentation and records required for audits and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
