Gen. AI-LLM Technical PLM Internship Description
What you will do
• Conduct a technical deep dive on the overall RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) stack used in current Juniper LLM solution...
• Compare each component in the stack with alternative solutions (both Open Source and off-the-shelf RAG-aaS/LLM-aaS vendors)
• Evaluate and compare your results with existing baselines and benchmarks and identify areas of improvements.
• Identify if/where are critical areas of product differentiation for Juniper in operating in-house RAG/LLM stack vs leveraging off-the-shelf technology delivered by leading LLM-aaS vendors.
• Develop and test new ideas and algorithms for improving the performance of our LLMs across existing and future use cases:
• Juniper Public Documentation search
• Text-to-SQL translation for analytics report
• Customers private Data search
• Apply your methods to real-world datasets and problems, such as question answering, summarization, dialogue.
• Write code, documentation, and reports.
• Present and communicate your work to the team and external collaborators.
What you will need
• Data science, Machine Learning, Large Language Models, RAG expertise
• Programming in python, experience with popular frameworks and libraries for data science and machine learning
• Ability to conduct independent research, problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm for learning new things quickly and exploring new challenges.

Minimum Salary: $61,875.00
Maximum Salary:$94,875.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $61,875.00 and $94,875.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements
