The Staff Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within our global organization. This position is responsible for processing vendor payments, handling and reconciling expense reimbursements, and actively participating in the month-end close process. The Staff Accountant will work closely with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records for all subsidiaries and the US consolidation. The Staff Accountant will support balance sheet reconciliations for the consolidated company, and uphold compliance with internal controls.
Vendor Payments:
Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual agreements using our AP automation software
Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or inquiries related to payments.
Maintain organized and detailed records of all vendor transactions.
Expense Reimbursements:
Review, process, and reconcile employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to corporate expense policies through our online system
Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in expense reimbursements in collaboration with employees and management.
Assist in the continuous improvement of expense reimbursement processes for efficiency.
Perform monthly reconciliations to the GL and recommend any month end accruals that need to be made
Month-End Close & Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
Support the month-end closing process by preparing and posting journal entries as required.
Assist in preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts, ensuring all accounts are accurately reflected.
Investigate and resolve any reconciling items to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of general accounting principles.
Familiarity with accounting software (Netsuite or similar ERP systems is a plus).
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both local and international teams.
Additional Information: This role will involve close collaboration with teams across different regions, so a working knowledge of international finance standards and regulations is beneficial. Proficiency in English is preferred due to the global scope of responsibilities. Alternative working hours would be required to support efficient communication and certain working deadlines.
