Payroll Tax Specialist

Justworks is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist to help pay and file withholding and unemployment taxes for clients while operating in a casual and welcoming work environment focused on improvement and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain quarter and annual payroll tax filing across all local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
  • Process and pay multi-state tax deposits timely.
  • Resolve payroll tax inquiries/issues generated by our customers via our internal ticketing system.
  • Triage incoming issues/inquiries to identify needs for Ops PM or Engineering intervention.
  • Monitor inquiries/issues to identify trends in payroll tax issues and recommend solutions.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • American Payroll Association (APA) Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred
