This critical role will focus on establishing and scaling the SDR function from the ground up. The Director of Sales Development will work closely with our Account Based Marketing (ABM) and Channel Sales teams to drive pipeline growth and support the achievement of our sales targets.How you'll make an impact day to day:• Team Building: Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing SDR team. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship to ensure the team meets and exceeds performance expectations.• Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategic plan for the SDR function, aligning with Kandji’s overall sales and marketing objectives. Focus on generating high-quality leads, nurturing prospects, and supporting the sales pipeline.• Collaboration: Work closely with the Account Based Marketing and Channel Sales teams to create cohesive and effective go-to-market strategies. Ensure alignment on target accounts, messaging, and outreach efforts.• Process Optimization: Establish efficient processes and workflows for lead generation, qualification, and handoff to the sales team. Continuously evaluate and refine these processes to drive productivity and success.• Performance Management: Set clear goals and KPIs for the SDR team. Regularly monitor performance, provide feedback, and implement strategies to improve results. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments.• Reporting: Track and report on key metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution. Provide regular updates to the Vice President of Sales and other senior leaders on the progress and impact of the SDR team.• Tool Implementation: Select and implement the tools and technologies needed to support the SDR function, including CRM, outreach platforms, and data analytics tools. Ensure the team is fully equipped to execute their tasks effectively.Minimum qualifications:• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales or sales development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within a high-growth SaaS company.• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and scaling an SDR or similar sales function. Experience working closely with marketing and channel teams is highly desirable.• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve ambitious goals.• Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and execute with precision. A data-driven approach to decision-making and process improvement.• Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and other key stakeholders.• Technical Acumen: Familiarity with sales and marketing technologies, including CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot), outreach platforms, and data analytics tools.• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.These requirements are for the strongest, ideal candidate.
