Senior Product Designer, Experience

The Opportunity

We are excited to be hiring a Senior Product Designer with a deep passion for creating exceptional user experiences. As a strategic designer, you will be a critical player in shaping the customer journey at Kandji. You’ll work with our Experience team to design new features from the ground up, optimize our onboarding process, and own/advance our design system. Reporting directly to the Head of Product, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, other designers, and cross-functional teams such as Revenue and Marketing on growth initiatives and executing design strategies that enhance our product. Your expertise in simplifying complex workflows and creating highly polished and scalable UI components will drive the success of our platform and improve customer satisfaction.

How you will make a difference day to day:
  • Design and document user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes that enhance the user experience, focusing on critical areas such as onboarding, billing, and user journeys.
  • Use data-driven insights, including user research, analytics, and customer feedback, to inform design decisions and create user-centered solutions.
  • Advocate for the end-user by ensuring every design decision improves usability, accessibility, and the overall experience.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to iterate on design concepts and refine the user experience.
  • Maintain the design system and drive the adoption and continuous improvement of the design system across the organization.
  • Dive deep into user needs and workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and simplify complex interactions.
  • Participate in user research activities, such as usability testing and customer interviews, to validate design decisions and iterate based on feedback.
  • Maintain a high standard for design quality and consistency, ensuring all deliverables align with our overall product vision.
  • Balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the user experience is thoughtfully crafted.
  • Embrace a hands-on approach, whether you’re conducting user research, defining micro-interactions, or collaborating on UI components.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, ego-free environment where feedback is welcomed and every team member is encouraged to contribute to the overall success of the product.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience designing user-centric experiences across responsive web, with a portfolio demonstrating your design thinking and process.
  • Strong expertise in Figma and other UX/UI design tools, with experience in creating and contributing to design systems.
  • Proven experience in improving critical aspects of the user journey, such as onboarding, billing, or customer support workflows.
  • A deep understanding of UX design principles, including accessibility and usability standards, particularly within complex or enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and advocate for user experience improvements.
  • Required to work on-site in Miami Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing for SaaS platforms with a focus on optimizing the customer journey and internal business workflows.
  • Familiarity with creating, implementing, and managing design systems that ensure consistency while allowing for flexibility in specific areas.
  • A strong focus on simplifying complex processes and a passion for creating delightful user experiences.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
  • Understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and accessibility standards.
