About This Role:The Incident Response Analyst is crucial in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity incidents to enhance the university's security posture. Remote work agreements are required for all flexible work arrangements and are subject to review.What You'll Need to Succeed:Minimum Qualifications:• Requires bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications:• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.• Cybersecurity Experience: Solid experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on incident detection, analysis, and response. Knowledge of security operations and incident handling within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment is highly desirable.• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in using cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems), and threat intelligence platforms. Familiarity with security standards and best practices for incident response.• Collaborative and Vendor Interaction Skills: Experience in working effectively within a team and collaborating with external vendors to enhance security measures.
