Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and implementation of the backend of our automated pentesting framework using Ruby on Rails. This includes adding new automated exploits into the framework.
• Use custom and open-source tools to test exploitation and post-exploitation attacks in a lab environment.
• Conduct code reviews and testing, identify areas for improvement, and enforce Ruby on Rails coding standards.
• Collaborate with the penetration testing team on new tools and strategies for expanding the framework.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of the backend framework.
• Ensure proper documentation of the framework, including code comments and technical specifications.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Ruby on Rails and Sidekiq to incorporate new features and optimize existing functionalities.
• Contribute to internal documentation.

Qualifications

• Must possess and demonstrate experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC frameworks. Experience with Ruby on Rails is a huge plus.
• Must be proficient in Git, including experience with branching, merging, and managing code repositories.
• Must be able to use Linux without any assistance.
• Possess a basic understanding of network penetration test concepts.
• Knowledge of Active Directory is preferred, especially from an offensive security perspective.
• Experience with standard penetration testing tools (e.g. Nmap, Metasploit, etc.) is a huge plus.
• Ability to adapt and learn new creative ways to solve inefficiencies through automation.
• Understanding of networking protocols and terminology.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
