About Our Client: We represent a prominent life insurance institution that has been serving the Maltese market for over 25 years. As a subsidiary of a major international banking group, our client continues to strengthen their position by expanding their core teams.

Position Summary: We're looking for a seasoned actuarial professional to join our client's growing team. This role reports directly to the Deputy Chief Actuary and focuses on critical aspects of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and actuarial analysis.

Core Functions:

  • Maintain rigorous actuarial standards while ensuring alignment with internal protocols and external regulations
  • Deliver actuarial and analytical expertise across various organizational departments
  • Perform quality control of deliverables, including supervision of junior actuaries' work
  • Support primary actuarial stakeholders in modeling, pricing governance, and Solvency II compliance
  • Participate in departmental projects and handle specialized actuarial assignments
  • Professional actuarial credentials (or in final stages) from an accredited body
  • Comprehensive understanding of life insurance products, with specific expertise in "With-Profits" offerings
  • Deep knowledge base in IFRS 17 implementation and Solvency II frameworks
  • Demonstrated skill in presenting complex actuarial concepts to executive teams
  • Strong collaborative abilities with proven success in multi-functional environments
