Regional HR Leader

Join a mission-driven NGO and play a pivotal role in enhancing educational opportunities for children in Taiwan, Nepal, the Philippines and Malaysia. As the Regional HR Leader, you will lead and refine HR operations throughout the Asia Pacific, building the foundation for long-term growth and meaningful impact. This role offers a unique chance to shape our client's HR framework, build and mentor HR teams, and craft strategies that align with their vision to make a difference in children's lives through education.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & HR Infrastructure Development

  • Design and implement a comprehensive HR structure that aligns with our organizational mission.
  • Streamline policies across diverse regions while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Spearhead the selection and implementation of a robust HRIS to drive operational efficiency.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to foster data-driven decision-making.

Talent Acquisition & Team Development

  • Recruit and lead highly skilled HR teams across multiple countries.
  • Develop and standardize recruitment and onboarding processes for consistency and quality.
  • Launch initiatives focused on employee development and career growth.
  • Build a diverse, inclusive workplace culture that attracts and retains top talent.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure strict compliance with labor laws in Taiwan, Nepal, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
  • Supervise compensation, benefits, and payroll functions for regional consistency.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee outsourced HR projects.
  • Develop risk management strategies to protect the organization’s interests.

Experience & Education Requirements

  • 5-8 years of HR management experience, with at least 3 years in a multi-country or regional role.
  • Proven experience in establishing HR systems and teams from the ground up.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of labor laws and HR practices in Asia is highly advantageous.

Skills & Personal Qualities

  • Strong strategic thinking paired with exceptional project management skills.
  • Proficiency in building cross-cultural relationships and fostering collaboration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and emerging HR technologies.
  • Deep commitment to education and social change.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the Asia Pacific region.

  • Salary: 800k - 1.2mil TWD per year
  • Flexible work arrangements including hybrid options
  • 2 weeks paid annual leave
