Let’s talk. Come belong at Ketchum!OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our North American Employee Engagement and Executive Visibility teams! This position can be based in any of our US offices.ResponsibilitiesThis role sits within two of Ketchum’s rapidly growing specialties: Employee Engagement and Executive Visibility. We specialize in helping clients build corporate culture and understand employees’ mindsets, identifying the right channels, content, programs and tailored messaging to engage and transform their workforce.Executives are the human face of corporate reputation. There’s never been a more important time for leaders to define their voice, hone their story and connect through storytelling with internal and external audiences. We help executives find the story only they can tell and then ensure it reaches the right people at the right time.The ideal candidate is a strong writer and critical thinker, a self-starter, and someone with high professionalism and strong project management skills who will excel in a fast-paced work environment.• Perform a wide range of duties, including development of client programs, project management, strategic plan writing, trend reporting, staff development, financial management. Serve as key liaison among client, account team and agency management• Manage day-to-day account needs• Be client-facing, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients• Provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address clients’ needs• Troubleshoot clients’ problems as they arise; seek senior management input whenever appropriate• Motivate team members by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback; encourage team to take advantage of training and development opportunities• Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their competitive environments• Demonstrate knowledge of proactive and reactive media strategies, thought leadership, and executive visibility programming• Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials including internal communications, correspondence and plans• Strive to develop the best communication and presentation skills possible to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others• Manage account financials including budget development and tracking, time sheets, client billing, supplier invoicing and purchase orders• Access agency’s network of resources to deliver greatest value to clients• Work with account team(s) to build incremental business• Participate in new business programming and presentations• Stay on top of trends in the industry; bring them to the attention of clients and associates, as appropriateQualificationsWe’re looking for required skills, and they can come from any combination of education and experience. Typical qualifications include:• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field preferred• Three to five years of experience in public relations agency or similar position• Ability to work in multi-faceted, fast-paced environment• Curious self-starter who has passion for employee engagement, leadership communications, executive visibility and corporate reputationThe salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data.
