Key Account Specialist East Bay CA

We are currently hiring a Key Account Specialist in East Bay, CA. Candidate must reside in the East Bay Territory (Oakland, Fremont, Bay Point, Berkeley, etc.)

Please note that while this position is listed as “working remotely”, our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The Key Accounts Specialist (KAS) manages account calls and maintenance for all “key” accounts. The KAS’ primary responsibility is securing distribution, feature programs, and implementing region initiatives with key on and off premise buying groups in the area.

What You'll Brew:

• Using Boston Beer Company (BBC) systems to organize and pre-plan accounts to achieve market objectives
• Utilizing monthly reports to identify and address what is generating positive or negative trends and implementing plans where appropriate to improve
• Implementing long term account planning
• Hunting for new business by identifying and prioritizing opportunities for incremental volume
• Maintaining professional business relationships with accounts to include: ownership, management, and appropriate staff
• Building and maintaining professional business relationships with applicable wholesaler personnel
• Understanding and practicing bracketing, concession management and negotiation
• Establishing goals, creating a selling story, anticipating, and handling objections
• Executing on merchandising standards
• Executing point-of-sale programs at retail
• Create and execute impactful promotions at on and/or off Premise locations
• Effectively communicates externally and internally in a timely and professional manner
• Create and deliver creative and impactful wholesaler(s) and retailer(s) presentations
• Must stay within all allocated budgets

What Ingredients You’ll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of sales and/or food/beverage industry experience
• Must be able to lift weight equivalent to one case of beer
• 10-15% travel
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience working with 7 Eleven a plus

Level: 7

In accordance with California's pay transparency laws the salary range for this role if hired in California is $60,000 – $80,000 per annum based on the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a city adjustment of $17,000 per annum, car allowance per annum, as well as an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
