Kimley-Horn's Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Structures team! This is not a remote position.
Manage and lead parking structure design projects from concept through construction, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to budget and schedule.
Develop comprehensive structural drawings and technical specifications for parking facilities, including new construction, renovations, and repairs, with minimal guidance.
Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering principles specific to parking structures, including material selection, load analysis, and durability considerations.
Perform structural analysis and design calculations for reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and steel parking structures while overseeing plan production and project documentation.
Implement and maintain a Quality Control program to ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and best practices for parking structure design and maintenance.
Lead and support construction phase services, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, performing site visits, and providing technical guidance for parking structure projects.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams, contributing to project meetings, presentations, and value engineering discussions.
Identify new project opportunities by networking with current and potential clients and staying informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting parking structures.
