Your role at Kittl
We’re looking for Principal Full Stack Engineers who will act as technical experts working with a cross-functional team which includes product managers, developers, designers and a founding team. You’ll be handling design and implementation of new high-impact product features, creating and developing an amazing product that you will be proud of. Main frontend responsibilities include building components and ever-evolving UI systems using modern web tech stack. Backend responsibilities include working on our internal APIs, billing as well as 3rd party integrations, and improving the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly scale our product and organization.
You’ll help the engineering team solve problems and overcome challenges. You’ll partner closely with our Talent Acquisition team to hire great engineering talent and mentor engineers, ensuring we’re building a positive and inclusive working environment for everyone.
What you'll do
Produce high-quality results: You'll lead and contribute heavily to large cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business
Establish good engineering practices: You'll drive technological excellence and shape the technical vision across the whole company
Resolve production issues: Assist our skilled support team and operations team in triaging production issues
Identify challenges: Proactively address both frontend, backend and infrastructure challenges, driving technical decisions within the company
Own features or systems: Define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems
Collaborate: Help product teams better understand engineering challenges and break down complex projects into manageable and easy to grasp tasks
What you'll need
Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional development experience with a focus on TypeScript, React, and Node.js
Backend: Familiarity with ORM tools as well as experience writing raw SQL
Modern web development tools: Proficiency in linting libraries such as ESLint and testing libraries like Jest and Cypress
Application state management: Expertise in complex application state management
Cloud: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and familiarity with static hosting approaches, platforms and caveats
Interviewing: Experience with structured interviewing, ideally in a scaleup or big tech
Work smart: You know how to make complex things simple, and can work fast and smart at the same time
