TruChoice Federal Credit Union, a growing $200M Credit Union located in the greater Portland Maine area, has a rare opportunity to join the organization as our IT Manager. Requirements of the IT Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar. 
  • Five to ten years of IT experience including experience in Microsoft 365 andSharePoint. 
  • Must be organized, thorough, self-motivated and inspire their staff to exhibit thesame. 
  • Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with team as well as non-technical users. 
  • Must live in a commutable distance to our South Portland, Maine office and be able to travel independently to branches throughout Southern Maine as needed.

Responsibilities of the IT Manager:
  • Provides leadership and oversight for the IT department staff. 
  • Responsible for the overall management of Truchoice's hardware, networks, servers, and communication links, also cyber security.  
  • Participates in the general management of TruChoice to identify, recommend and implement plans regarding technology or security solutions, future technology needs.  
  • Exhibits extensive subject matter expertise in applicable regulations, laws, industry standards, department work and purpose.  
  • Works closely with managers to identify, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions; participates in strategic planning regarding future technology.  
  • Manages successful external relationships with vendors, community, SEGs, trade associations, etc. 
  • Develops, proposes, and coordinates training and support to staff on information systems, policies, procedures and strategies.
