Are you enthusiastic about shaping the digital asset landscape by contributing to the world's foremost digital asset index provider, authorized and regulated by the UK FCA? We're on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer at CF Benchmarks, you'll be providing support for our infrastructure. Your journey will involve active participation and learning across the entire cloud engineering stack. We anticipate you evolving into a 'T-shaped' professional, with vast potential to advance your career in the thriving SRE domain. Guided by industry leaders within the DevOps organization and collaborating with a seasoned team of versatile polyglots and talented microservices developers, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies and practices.
The opportunity
Building processes and pipelines to contribute to the CF Benchmark Development team's move to true Continuous Delivery and Continuous Improvement
Implementing secrets management for cloud applications as part of the CF Benchmarks SRE team
Working with the global team on Identity and Access Management projects and integration for Enterprise applications
Relating CF Benchmarks business processes and requirements to Kraken controls and policies
Becoming an active part of the on call and disaster recovery structures within CF Benchmarks
Fulfilling DevOps responsibilities for the Development teams to cover absence, and to a certain extent capacity issues
Skills you should HODL
A degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience alongside a good level of general education
Code (or script) in at least one modern application development or utility language, including Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Puppet, Cloudformation, etc.
Be a competent Linux user
Be aware of how containers and microservices are configured, and can be secured and orchestrated, in particular using Kubernetes
Solid understanding of Kubernetes, including cluster lifecycle management (provisioning, upgrading, operating)
Use open source tooling to programmatically test and verify the safety and integrity of bespoke software
Analyze data sets and produce reports using basic tools (e.g. SQL, POSIX stream processing tools, spreadsheets, ODBC, Python)
Understand principles around secure Identity Management and Authentication
Understand DNS, SSL/ TLS, and how traffic on IP networks establishes end-to-end security and trust
Work highly independently, with multiple stakeholders outside of the formal management structure
Write good quality policies, procedures and technical documentation
Take a risk-based approach to all facets of information security, nurturing security awareness across the organization, and staying up to date with potential risks introduced by third parties
Be an active participant in a world class global security organization and staying up to date with challenges and exploits in the ecosystem
