The ideal candidate for this role will need to be based in Ireland. This is a control
function hire, under the Fitness & Probity regime.

The Team

We are recruiting for a professional to take on the role of Senior Compliance Associate
(FIAT) playing a key role within the European focused RegOps team and authorised EMI
entity. The successful candidate will be involved in a full breadth of processes and will
need to be open, inquisitive and willing to take ownership of delivery of a variety of
different tasks

The Opportunity

  • Support the Head of Compliance in the successful delivery of second line
    obligations, commitments and general work

  • Act as a SME to PIL and the wider Kraken Group on payments (FIAT) related
    technical compliance queries

  • Support with regulatory mapping and updating our reg inventory

  • Involvement with horizon scanning and implementing new regulation changes

  • Develop, draft, implement and operationalise compliance policies and
    procedures required to be compliant with regulations across the EU

  • Assist in managing regulatory inquiries

  • Act as a trusted partner to Product, Design, Engineering and Markets teams for
    new products and initiatives

  • Assist in preparing reports for Committee and Board meetings on compliance
    related matters

  • Assist in the development and delivery of effective compliance training programs

  • Continually seek out and implement efficiencies and process improvements

  • Assist with compliance monitoring where required

Skills You Should HODL

  • Significant second-line (2LOD) compliance experience is essential, preferably in
    an EMI

  • Strong knowledge of regulations, particularly PSD2

  • Capability to manage multiple projects

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyse risk and apply sound  judgement in a
    timely manner

  • Self starter who can work on their own initiative

  • Practical knowledge of compliance techniques

  • Experience and/or passion for crypto preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong attention to detail and strong organisational skills

  • Ability to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively
    under pressure
