Laboratory Technician - Land

Job Description

The Laboratory Technician is tasked with ensuring efficient and proper collection, testing, and analysis of geotechnical specimens in the field or laboratory setting with strict adherence to accepted protocols (ASTM). Observations, laboratory findings, and other data must be accurately recorded in support of engineering evaluation and other client deliverables. A successful candidate shall be able to multi-task with accuracy, work independently and/or with some supervision, track samples internally, and perform data entry into a computer database(s).

This position will primarily be laboratory testing at the above-referenced office location. However, occasional travel to project sites to collect samples and/or travel between Fugro offices to facilitate sample transfers may be required.

A willingness to support certain field operations such as borehole logging with the potential for overnight travel is highly desirable.
