Staff Functional Safety Engineer, Runtime Software & OS

Latitude AI is a driving technology company developing hands-free driver assist systems. We seek experienced professionals to join our Functional Safety team to ensure product safety for next-gen vehicles.

Skills

Experience in system safety as it relates to software
Strong engineering communication skills
Proficiency in C/C++ software development
Knowledge of automotive functional safety standards
Ability to design software systems

Responsibilities

Lead functional safety activities across the software organization
Translate ISO-26262 part 6 requirements into software team actions
Create automated unit and integration tests to verify software
Coordinate and track safety requirements for software development
Drive traceability between system-level requirements and software specifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field
Master's degree or PhD preferred based on experience
