Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
General Ledger: Manage and reconcile the general ledger accounts. Ensure all entries are accurate and complete, and investigate any discrepancies.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable. Ensure timely payment of invoices and collections from clients.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
Month-End and Year-End Close: Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support internal and external audit processes. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any findings.
Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
Software and Systems: Utilize accounting software and systems to process and manage financial data. Ensure data integrity and security.
Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as required. Provide financial expertise and support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
