Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior QA Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Test Planning: Assist in the development of test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for all functionalities.

Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases to identify defects and ensure software functionality meets requirements. Document and report bugs and issues clearly and accurately.

Automated Testing: Learn and assist in developing automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools. Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of the automated testing suite.

Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.

Defect Tracking: Log, track, and manage defects using bug tracking software. Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.

Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and testing processes. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Performance Testing: Assist in performance and load testing to ensure the software can handle high volumes of traffic and usage.

User Acceptance Testing: Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, working with end-users to validate that software meets their needs and expectations.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving testing processes and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Basic understanding of software development and testing methodologies.

Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of quality assurance.

Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
