Acquisition Analyst (Secret Clearance) - Hybrid Remote

Active Secret Clearance Required.

This position allows for 3-4 days er week remote / work from home.

Salary: $120,000 - 170,000/year

We are seeking a dedicated Acquisition Analyst with an active Secret clearance to join our team specializing in shipbuilding programs for the Navy. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in acquisition processes, contract management, and program analysis within the defense sector. This role plays a critical part in supporting the acquisition lifecycle from planning and procurement to contract execution and program oversight.

• Acquisition Planning and Strategy:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop acquisition strategies aligned with Navy shipbuilding requirements and objectives.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential contractors and vendors capable of meeting program specifications.
• Assist in drafting acquisition documentation, including requests for proposals (RFPs), statements of work (SOWs), and contract modifications.
• Contract Management and Negotiation:
• Manage contract administration tasks such as reviewing proposals, evaluating contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective solutions while meeting program milestones.
• Monitor contract performance and resolve issues related to scope changes, budget variances, and schedule delays.
• Financial Analysis and Budget Oversight:
• Analyze budget proposals and financial data to assess program feasibility and cost effectiveness.
• Track expenditures, forecast financial trends, and prepare budget reports for program managers and senior leadership.
• Provide recommendations for resource allocation and cost-saving measures to optimize program outcomes.
• Program Evaluation and Performance Metrics:
• Develop and implement metrics to measure program performance, progress, and adherence to acquisition milestones.
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing program status, risks, and recommended actions for senior management.
• Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes affecting Navy shipbuilding programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Active Secret clearance required; higher clearance levels (e.g., Top Secret) desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in acquisition, procurement, or contract management within the defense or government sector.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Navy acquisition policies, procedures, and shipbuilding programs preferred.
