Advanced Embedded Software Developer

Looking for an Advanced Embedded Software Developer to join our team.

Must live near the area, not willing to relocate candidates.

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality and reliability of firmware.
• Debug and troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues.
• Optimize firmware performance for efficiency and resource usage.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in embedded systems and firmware development.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of the codebase.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to firmware design, development, and testing.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Execute additional tasks and projects as required by your manager, ensuring they are completed professionally and within deadlines.

• Have an active Secret Security Clearance or clearable for one is required.
• U.S Citizen is required due to being clearable for a Security Clearance.
• Has experience using C, Linux and Multi-threading is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Software & Hardware that interfaces & controls instruments.
• Critical Technical skills.
• Software development using C
• Electronics debugging tools.
• Circuit & electrical engineering fundamentals. (schematics/data sheets)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to debug and perform failure analysis across a variety of engineering domains.
• Experience in design of experiment (DOE) and other problem-solving processes.
• Able to understand and perform statistical data analysis.
