Financial Analyst - Manufacturing

Salary: $80,000 - 95,000/year

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst with expertise in Costpoint to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes while utilizing Costpoint software to streamline and enhance financial operations. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial data management and supporting strategic decision-making within our defense manufacturing projects.

• Financial Planning & Analysis:
• Prepare and analyze financial forecasts, budgets, and financial reports using Costpoint software.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Costpoint System Management:
• Utilize Costpoint for financial tracking, reporting, and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and processing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the Costpoint system, working closely with IT and other departments as needed.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Assist in the development and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial performance, providing explanations and corrective actions as necessary.
• Financial Reporting:
• Generate and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in all financial reporting.
• Cost Analysis:
• Conduct cost analyses for projects, programs, and operational activities to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to assess financial impacts and make data-driven recommendations.
• Internal Controls & Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a financial analyst, with hands-on experience using Costpoint software.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Costpoint software and other financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of defense industry financial regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
