Senior Desktop & Network Support Technician

Job Summary: 

The Senior Desktop & Network Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows desktop environments, and assisting with network support tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Windows operating systems, network infrastructure, and excellent problem-solving skills. This is a 6 month contract to hire.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm

• Provide desktop support for Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by end-users through various communication channels (phone, email, ticketing system).
• Perform software and hardware installations, upgrades, and maintenance on desktops and laptops.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, and VPN problems.
• Assist with the setup and configuration of network devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and network configurations.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure.
• Conduct regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Provide technical support for peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and after-hours support as needed.
