About the team

Join Turo as a Law Enforcement Response Specialist supporting our vibrant collection of car hosts and guests who inspire and fuel us every day. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and executing processes critical to ensuring the safety and security of the Turo community and marketplace.

We are looking for a team-oriented Law Enforcement Response Specialist to join our Global Trust & Safety Team at Turo. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our diverse and talented teams while playing a key role in the success of the business. The ideal Law Enforcement Response Team Specialist has superb judgment, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for details.

This position will be based in Phoenix and reports to our Manager, Trust & Safety in our Phoenix, AZ office. This is not a remote position and interested parties must reside in the Phoenix area at time of accepting any offer.

What you will do

  • Law Enforcement Response Team (LERT) is part of the Global Trust & Safety organization. As a Law Enforcement Response Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and addressing time-sensitive legal process from domestic and international law enforcement agencies while protecting user privacy
  • Ensure that all law enforcement requests are analyzed and processed in compliance with applicable law, our Terms of Service, and our law enforcement guidelines
  • You will work on a global and cross-functional team to ensure safety and mitigate legal risk. You take great pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in our platform and ensure the highest levels of safety
  • Work with and foster relationships with a valued network of law enforcement, external partners, and investigators
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams such as Legal and Operations to deal with issues concerning safety, privacy, and data disclosure
  • Ensure operational excellence while upholding high quality, speed, and accuracy in your work
  • Gather and analyze relevant data to improve internal processes and consistently communicate with stakeholders.
  • Draft internal documentation, workflows, and procedures concerning safety and data disclosure
  • Keep accurate records and clearly articulate operational decisions
  • Participate in trial appearances as Turo's Custodian of Record which may require some travel
  • Open to a four-day work week

Your profile

  • 1-2 years of related work experience in Operations, Trust and Safety, Law Enforcement, or equivalent environment
  • Familiarity with law enforcement and various forms of legal requests such as subpoenas, court and production orders, and search warrants
  • Superb and dynamic communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high responsiveness and availability, strong ability to prioritize
  • Can quickly adapt to new technology and systems: experience with Kustomer, CRM systems, Google Docs, and MS Office preferred. Mac expertise is a plus.
  • You are a team player with a positive mental attitude, high energy, high integrity, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a commitment to Turo's mission and core values
  • BA/BS or work equivalent required
  • Fluency in English, Spanish, and/or French is a plus
  • This position is not remote-based and reports to our Phoenix Office

The Phoenix base salary target range for this full-time position is $55,000-$60,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your work location during the hiring process. Please note that the salary range listed in this posting reflects the base salary only, and does not include bonus (if applicable), equity, or benefits.
