What it's about
You will be a part of the Technology vertical team within the Private Equity department of Partners Group. This role offers you the opportunity to shape Partners Group’s strategy for how to make the most of opportunities created by the rapid pace of technological innovations and disruptions.
This role has three core responsibilities:
- Thematic research & origination: Take leadership in thematic research into a specific technology or sub-sector to identity long-term structural growth trends, differentiated business models, potential outside executives/industry insiders and target assets. Lead teams of junior professionals (both investment and operating backgrounds) to develop a pipeline of investment opportunities resulting from this thematic research.
- Institutional knowledge center: Develop long-term institutional clarity for PG in a particular technology or sub-sector through your thematic research efforts, supported not just by PG colleagues but also by outside experts (key industry executives and technologists) that you source and engage with.
- Value creation: Implement Partners Group’s active ownership approach to portfolio company value creation, especially to drive technology initiatives that leverage your past experience and your ongoing thematic research. Work with portfolio company boards, management teams and PG colleagues to drive value creation.
In addition, you will work on all aspects of private equity investing - sourcing, asset selection, due diligence, execution, value creation and exits.

- Partners Group compensation has a long-term outlook and philosophy, and our total compensation emphasizes performance based long term incentives. Base pay range for this role is $225,00 - $275,000 and a performance-based bonus and equity are part of the total compensation package
