To enlarge our Private Real Estate Partnership Investments team in Denver, we are looking for an investment professional to focus on primary and secondary limited partnership transactions in real estate private equity. This role requires a deep understanding of private real estate closed-ended fund structures and an ability to transact on new fund commitments, co-investments, traditional LP secondaries, and GP-led fund recaps. Bottom-up underwriting of fund assets will require broad knowledge of the major US real estate markets and ability to underwrite multiple property types. The senior associate will be an integral member of a small team and be responsible for sourcing and executing investments from due diligence to closing.
In this position you will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, executing, and monitoring private real estate primary, co-investment, and secondary transactions alongside trusted investment partners. Your tasks will include:
- Support management team in sourcing primary, secondary, and co-investment real estate investment opportunities
- Manage quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective limited partnership investments (equity and preferred equity)
- Prepare and lead due diligence calls and asset visits with operating partners and investment managers etc.
- Negotiate transaction terms and coordinate various advisors and stakeholders involved in the respective investment opportunity
- Prepare and present investment memoranda for Investment Committee meetings
- Support investment monitoring, product reporting, and marketing efforts for the firm
- Coach and mentor junior teammates
What we expect
For this challenging position, we are looking for a person who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong networking, negotiation and organization skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:
- Top academic credentials (Master’s/MBA/CFA preferred), with a coursework emphasis on Finance, Economics, and/or Real Estate
- At least 4 years of work experience in the private real estate/private equity market with a leading investment manager or investment bank
- Existing network in the real estate industry, including general partners, advisory, banking, and intermediary community
- Thorough knowledge of Word and Excel (modeling skills required) and the ability to conduct investment research independently
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills as well as a strong desire
to learn and succeed
- Be proactive on assignments/projects and demonstrate initiative
- Able to complete projects on time and accurately and be able to multi-task
- Strong work ethic and professional demeanor

- Partners Group compensation has a long-term outlook and philosophy, and our total compensation emphasizes performance based long term incentives. Base pay range for this role is $186K – $200K, and a performance-based bonus and equity are part of the total compensation package.
