Senior Database Administrator

We seek a Senior DataBase Administrator with a solid English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:

Position Title: Senior DataBase Administrator

Location: Remote

What you will be doing:

Manage and maintain databases on AWS RDS, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL instances
Design and implement business intelligence solutions including OneMarket Insights
Ensure the security, availability, and performance of database systems
Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and updates
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and schema designs for performance and scalability
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Implement and maintain database security best practices, including user access controls and encryption
Document database configurations, processes, and procedures
Perform tier two customer support tasks, including back-end support for client technology requests and supporting the help desk

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years’ experience as a Development Database Administrator (DBA) managing Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases
Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and related services
Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing database queries for performance
Experience with database security best practices and encryption technologies
Familiarity with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Proficiency in Unix shell scripting for automation and system administration tasks
Excellent communication and collaboration skills AWS certification(s) a plus
