Position Title: Senior DevOps Software Engineer

 

Location: Remote - LATAM

 

What you will be doing:

 

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer who will spearhead infrastructure automation initiatives. Your core duties entail deploying and scaling our flagship product on Kubernetes, devising cloud solutions, and architecting scalable architectures. As a senior team member, your input is crucial to integrating and supporting enterprise-level solutions, ensuring robust deployment workflows aligned with industry standards for security and compliance. We highly value individuals with extensive experience in DevOps—over 5 years, with particular expertise in Kubernetes, and AWS, and proficient coding skills in Python, Go, and Bash. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead and manage deployment, scaling, and infrastructure automation tasks, ensuring robust configuration management across environments.
  • Design and implement cloud solutions to meet organizational needs within labs, production, and on-premise environments.
  • Enhance and maintain cloud-related tooling, monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to design and support scalable architecture solutions.
  • Document and maintain technical architecture designs and configurations for various stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior members and cross-functional teams on DevOps best practices.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new tools and technologies to optimize DevOps workflows.
  • Ensure deployment workflows adhere to industry standards on security and compliance.



Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role or a software development role with a DevOps focus
  • Advanced expertise in Kubernetes with 3+ years of hands-on experience, including managing Helm charts
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud services
  • 2+ years of experience administering Linux-based systems
  • Intermediate coding skills in Python, Go, and Bash
  • Proficiency in containerizing services and deploying to Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices, including familiarity with Gitlab CI and Argo CD
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting using tools such as Grafana and Kibana
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated capability to enhance technology security
  • Proven track record in applying Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with Gitlab CI for continuous integration and delivery
  • Proficiency in Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with HorizontalPodAutoscaler and VerticalPodAutoscaler for Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with network security protocols and practices
  • Excellent communication abilities, vital for collaborating effectively with remote teams and stakeholders across various departments.
  • Problem-solving prowess and critical thinking, are crucial for efficiently troubleshooting technical challenges using tools like Grafana and Kibana.
  • Adaptability and openness to innovation, are important for embracing new technologies and methodologies such as Agile and Scrum in fast-paced environments.
