Lecturer in Theater Arts

The Department of Theater Arts at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the THA 23A: Movement for the Stage (4 credit) course in fall 2023 (August 31 - December 8, 2023).

This course involves exercises designed to unleash the individual's imagination in order to bring courage and responsiveness into the body. The course will offer an in-depth approach designed to develop physical skills and tools for theater performance.The class will meet on Tuesdays and Fridays, 12:45 PM–2:05 PM.

Candidates with a MFA and relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is August 7, 2023.

This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
