The Department of Cellular Biology at the University of Georgia invites applications for a non-tenure track lecturer position to begin in Fall 2023. Responsibilities for the position include instruction of upper-level undergraduate cellular biology courses and management of graduate teaching assistants. Successful candidates will also contribute to the department’s undergraduate curriculum as needed.
Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated ability to teach large lecture courses and/or courses in cellular biology at the undergraduate level.
Each application should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a teaching portfolio of at least 3 but no more than 10 pages that should include, but is not limited to, (1) evidence of effective instruction, (2) a statement of the candidate’s qualifications to teach upper-level undergraduate cellular biology, and (3) a statement of the candidate’s approach to effectively teaching large class sizes and a diverse student body. The portfolio may also include example teaching materials such as a syllabus or an assessment.
