The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the coordination of field operations driving projects to successful completion through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective scheduling, cost management, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior customer service. The ideal candidate will also possess a desire for growth, long-term thinking, and relationship building skills. You’ll communicate regularly with your Construction Project Manager and will utilize Procore software for project management.

As a full-time Commercial Assistant Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Superintendent in planning and coordinating construction projects.
• Monitor project progress and adjust work schedules as needed to ensure that deadlines are met.
• Assist with the preparation of project budgets and track expenses.
• Supervise construction crew to ensure that work is being completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
• Coordinate inspections with utility companies, trade partners, owners, and all government agencies.
• Work at the job site to ensure it is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, codes and regulations

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in development, building trades, construction, and/or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Skilled problem solvers with a knack for working with people to achieve success.
• Ability to work short-term projects of nine to eleven months, involving 85% travel
