We are in search of our new Global IT Projects Director to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) within our Chief Information Office (CIO) Services group. As a leader in the CIO team, you will play a valuable part in executing and delivering a wide range of projects and programs across the enterprise within the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality, while ensuring proper maintenance of project management standards throughout the organization.
The IT Project Director, PMO will work closely with all levels of leadership to align projects with business objectives and will lead a team of project managers and support staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor project managers, business analysts, and PMO support staff to ensure successful delivery of projects across the organization to meet business goals while adhering to project management standards, policies, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with Chief Information Officer to create and execute short and long term strategies that ensure scalability, consistency, and efficiency within the PMO by implementing performance measurement systems to evaluate project success, PMO effectiveness, and promote continuous improvement.
• Oversee the enterprise project portfolio by tracking both PMO led projects and business led projects to limit redundancies and mitigate misalignment while ensuring effective prioritization, resource allocation, and execution of projects in line with strategic objectives.
• Oversee the management of the allocation of resources across projects, including personnel, budgets, and materials to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain a risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across projects, ensuring minimal impact to project delivery and objectives.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including executive leadership, project teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and support for project goals.
• Responsible for creating and ensuring PMO Annual Operating Plan (AOP) is met as well as creating demand and capacity management models and stakeholder reporting.
• Responsible for creating and tracking organizational KPIs including (but not limited to) project completion rates, budget adherence, project ROI, CSAT, resource utilization, change request rates, QA, on-time reporting, and project health.
• Cultivate a PMO organization that operates as a talent rotational program for Leidos business Sectors for IT Project and Program Managers.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of IT Project / Program Management experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Prior experience should include leading PMO team, managing complex IT portfolios and delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build internal relationships and communicate effectively with senior and executive leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Knowledge of industry-standard project management software and tools.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Strong working knowledge of the following:
• Project Methodology (Waterfall, Agile, Operational Services, etc.)
• Risk Management
• Program and Project Metrics Collection
• IT Service Management (ITSM)
• Six Sigma
• SharePoint
• ServiceNow (Demand and Project and Portfolio Management)
• Government contracting industry experience preferred.
• US citizenship is required and able to attain and maintain a clearance if needed.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
