DescriptionThe Leidos Innovation Center is seeking a Software Engineer Intern in Arlington, VA for Spring 2025 Internship.This intern role will support real-time software development and integration tasks in support of research and development projects related to electronic warfare. This work may also encompass a number of other areas including modeling and simulation, and machine/deep learning. Candidates will be expected to apply existing knowledge and acquire new skills to help solve complex problems, all while gaining experience in the development and delivery of software solutions for U.S government customers.Primary Responsibilities:• Work within a multidisciplinary team to design and develop software solutions, document results and findings, support test and integration of software systems.• Apply previously acquired skills and knowledge to research and development tasks• Effectively communicate with engineers regarding current tasksBasic Qualifications:• Must be enrolled in degree program and pursuing B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field• Experience with C++ programming through course work, lab projects, and previous internships• Experience programming for Linux OS or ARM processors• Demonstrate problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills• Available for intern role starting spring 2025 and working onsite in Arlington, VA• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance- US Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:• Experience with machine/deep learning• Experience with modeling and simulation• Experience with MATLAB and/or Python programming languagesOriginal Posting Date:2024-08-22While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
