LEAD SME PLATFORM ARCHITECT (CTO) & PLATFORM TEAM LEAD

DescriptionU.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Office of Information Technology?s (OIT) Chief Technology Office (CTO) and Enterprise Infrastructure Division (EID) require Architecture and Solution Design, Engineering, Implementation and Operational Support Services to design, engineer, implement and maintain emerging, evolving, and developing Information Technology (IT) strategic solutions for the USCIS enterprise, to include Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.The lead Platform Architect will perform Enterprise Platform Services architect and provision IT enterprise platforms that aggregate network, infrastructure, cloud and applications, integrating tools, services, workflows, and data used across the enterprise. Platform services and technologies factor in the strategic aspects of agencywide initiatives, combined with overarching and overlapping business requirements. Design and lead the implementation of complex identity management solutions utilizing tools such as PKI, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, and Microsoft Identity Manager. Work closely with internal teams to architect and lead the implementation of Group Policy Objects (GPOs), performance tuning as it relates to the latest Windows Desktop and Server Migration project(s). Provide Architectural and Engineering analysis of on premise and cloud solutions to ensure, where applicable, interdependent systems have consistent architectures and divergent architectures are evaluated for business value, and removal of waste. Architect and lead the implementation of new group policy changes to the AD structure, new Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), new operating systems, or as directed due to security or higher headquarter mandates and exceptions.Basic Qualifications• Requires BS degree and 12 ? 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 ? 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.• Experience with architecting and developing platform-based solutions, establishing throughput and setting baselines for acceptable performances standards.• Working knowledge of DevOps concepts• Experience in evaluation and analysis of workloads that are running in public and private cloud environments.• Expertise working with virtualization, storage and enterprise backup solutions using automation technologies.• Expertise working with Active Directory technologies.• Expertise working with application streaming and desktop virtualization technologies.• Certification: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert has been obtained within the last five years.Original Posting Date:2024-09-03While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
