This role would be serving a federal law enforcement agency from either the National Capital Region or Huntsville Alabama.Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.Be part of an agile team who is responsible for maintaining a cloud-based data architecture across unclassified and classified enclaves that centralizes administrative data holdings across the Agency, enabling further analytic capabilities.Responsible for using data sets to develop alerts and analytics to proactively identify, triage, and visualize potential insider risk. To develop these alerts, RAU is using potential risk indicators and factors (PRIF) associated with various threat areas. As the alerts are built, observed PRIFs will be combined to create an insider risk score for an individual. The goal is to have a dashboard to display individuals who have the highest individual insider risk scores, prioritized by the platform based on analyst requirements, in real time.Primary Responsibilities:oResponsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include:odeveloping data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software;ofacilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi-structured data.oDesign strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.oDesign and construct large relational databases.oIntegrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.oMay supervise others.Basic Qualifications:oBachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information SystemsoManagement, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeo8-12 years of prior relevant experience or master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.oAbility to work well within a small agile team environmentoStrong communication skillsoUS CitizenshipPreferred Qualifications:oAbility to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computingoExperience utilizing big data technologies and knowledge of data science models to analyze large amounts of data and create valuable insightsoExperience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasksoExpertise in architect and utilization of large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analyticsoDatabricks and Lakehouse architecturesoAWS OpenSearchoExperience with AWS, Splunk, Databricks, and other Oracle/SQL based platforms.oExperience with python, Microsoft VBA, and DatabricksoDOD Top Secret Clearance is required.Original Posting Date:2024-08-13While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
