Description
Leidos seeks testers to be part of a team of software developers, testers, and other technical personnel to support a significant program within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The tester is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems. Duties may include defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods... and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of client and/or company products. This project will involve analyzing the current Business Intelligence portfolio and creating a release plan that establishes what legacy functionality needs to be reengineered, rebuilt, and incrementally operationalized onto the new platform, and completing a Proof of Concept to determine the solution approach for migrating and refactoring their data.
Primary Responsibilities
• Define and specify the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of client’s software products
• Understand user needs and test software solutions through clear communication with product owner and scrum team
• Based on requirements, develop test plans
• Prepare end of test report
• Test software within a cloud environment customized to IRS requirements
• Execute stringent unit testing of delivered code to verify that it meets all functional requirements
• Oversee peer testing, as needed
• Act as an SME to support regression testing activities carried out by tests such as an Application Qualification Test (AQT) and System Acceptance Test (SAT) testing teams, ensuring that the software meets the functional requirements
• Test complete applications and re-tests results of bug fixes and security scans and Section 508 testing (as needed)
• Conduct final integrations testing, as needed
• Use Jenkins to deploy code and execute automated regression test
• Be a team player capable of high performance and flexibility in a dynamic working environment issues
• Responsible for leading some operations within an area that has significant impact on results for the job family
• Resolve routine problems and issues, without clearly prescribed solutions
• Check and make minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems
• Have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered
• Possess extensive knowledge in specialized functions
Basic Qualifications
• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent and 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience delivering work with Agile/Scrum practices and software release cycle
• Proficient in AWS, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Java
• 3+ years of experience working with clients and client deliverables on tight deadlines
• Prior experience working on projects of similar size and scope
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfort working in a fast pace and at times ambiguous project environment
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools: Jenkins, Selenium, LoadRunner, Splunk, JSON/XML Schema, and the CLM Suite
• Experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
• Experience resolving routine problems and issues, without clearly prescribed solutions
• Experience checking and making minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems
• Requires ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation, similar to a Public Trust Clearance
• This offer is contingent upon Leidos being awarded a subcontract under the IRS Enterprise Development, Operations Services (EDOS) contract/program
• Offer also contingent on Leidos' customer approval of your qualifications to support the IRS Enterprise Development, Operations Services (EDOS) contract/program
Desired Qualifications
• Knowledge and experience in software development
• Experience testing software products on projects in an IRS/Treasury environment
• Experience testing software on an Agile development team

Pay Range
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $66,975.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
