Description and Requirements

The inside sales team within the Lenovo direct business is responsible for growing our existing customer base and driving new customer acquisition. This role manages a team of SMB account representatives through stages of the sales process including but not limited to a sales queue, development, acquisition, and retention roles. This is a critical role that will be responsible to achieve weekly and quarterly aspirational targets along with driving the evolution of the sales team as Lenovo brings new solutions to market targeted towards SMB.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Help define the short-term tactical plans and long-term strategy with the broader Lenovo Direct team
  • Lead a high-performance team with prospecting, opportunity development and pipeline management
  • Provide leadership in managing the operational and systems aspect of this role with awareness of customer relationship, opportunity prioritization and quota attainment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stake holders, including Product Teams, Finance and Payments, Post-Sales Support and SMEs across all Lenovo solutions to support the customer acquisition and retention strategy.
  • Manage the sales team, including quarterly target setting, ongoing management to achieve corporate and team goals, performance management at individual level, including setting Key Performance Indicators and reviewing each quarter end.
  • Build a consultative selling approach around Lenovo products; PC & Peripherals, Data Center Products, Motorola Phones and Software and Services. Coaching and building a training calendar to support a cross selling approach to new and existing Lenovo customers.
  • Drive a strong sales cadence to support pipeline management and forecasting to identify gaps and take timely corrective actions.

Position Qualifications: Basic:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a high-performance team selling IT hardware and software-based solutions
Preferred:
  • Understanding of sales management software like Microsoft Dynamics/Outreach.io
  • Advanced in excel and power point
  • Collaboration across functional teams
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Resilience to change and challenges and a humanistic approach to management
  • Strong data-based decision making, collating unstructured data to make business decisions
  • Ability to build long term strategic plans along with coming up with short term tactical actions to deliver on all aspirational targets (revenue/gross profit/services etc)
  • Experienced in solution selling (services/software) driving the launch and go to market strategy sales strategy
