LHH is ramping up a search for an HR Generalist in the Metro Detroit area. The HR Generalist will be responsible for performing a wide range of HR duties, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and HR compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced... environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities to ensure a positive experience for new employees.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and communications.
• Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review, analyzing trends and making recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other applicable laws.
• Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion programs, and training initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (HR certification a plus)
• Proven experience (2-3 years) as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
• Solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
• Experience with HRIS and other HR software applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR-related software.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
