Staff Accountant - job 5 of 5

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire a Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity based in Emeryville, California. In this role, you will perform your duties on a fully remote basis, on West Coast business hours.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Assist with the month, quarter and year-end close
General Ledger account reconciliation and analysis
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Record monthly amortization of prepaid taxes and insurance
Responsible for monthly corporate allocations
Prepare and distribute corporate financials
Maintain fixed asset schedule and record monthly depreciation
Assist Controller on projects as assigned

DESIRED SKILLS & BACKGROUND

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Software experience with Intacct REQUIRED
Strong general accounting experience knowing your debits and credits (GAAP)
Industry experience in a non-profit would be preferred
Team player, proactive, and organized
Attention to detail, problem-solver, and strong time management skills
Excellent communications (written & verbal)

Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel – Advanced, Word & Outlook)

4 years of accounting experience (Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Grant Accountant, Fund Accountant)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Hourly Pay: $35.00-43.00
